Since 1887, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants has set ethical standards for the industry. By providing essential information, training tools, and resources, the AICPA aids in improving CPA skills, knowledge, and client success. ESP is proud to be a member of the largest worldwide organization representing the accounting profession.

PCPS (section of AICPA):

ESP is a member of the AICPA Private Companies Practice Section. The PCPS provides a wide range of valuable information and resources for firms of all sizes in area of practice management. It provides us with up-to-date information regarding changes in tax, accounting, and auditing standards, which in turn allows us to stand by our commitment in delivering the highest level of service possible to our clients.

In 2012, Erin Sacco Pineda also committed time to the Emerging Partner Training Forum series offered by the AICPA Private Companies Practice Section. This forum gives firm leaders access to nationally recognized practice consultants. Through this continued connection, Erin is able to exchange experiences and ideas with practices across the country.

GAQC (section of AICPA):

ESP is also a member of the Governmental Audit Quality Center. The GAQC enables us to remain up-to-date on issues pertinent to NP organizations performed under OMB Circular A-133 and serves as a beneficial tool when performing single audits of NPs.

With over 40,000 members statewide, the California Society for Certified Public Accountants serves as an advocate for members on issues that affect the accounting profession. CalCPA enhances and supports the education of CPA’s in professional and personal development.

CalCPA is made up of fourteen chapters. Erin Sacco Pineda serves as Director on Board for the San Diego Chapter, as well as the Chair of the Nonprofit Interest Group San Diego Chapter.

Erin Sacco Pineda is also a graduate of the CalCPA Emerging Leaders Certificate Program, which provides a forum that aids in the development of critical leadership skills with a network of peers. It also permits the opportunity of gaining exposure to local leaders in the accounting profession.

The Hawaii Society of Certified Public Accountants emerged in 1932 and is the only known professional organization in Hawaii dedicated to CPAs. It strongly promotes high standards of integrity and competence within the accounting profession.
