AICPA

Since 1887, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants has set ethical standards for the industry. By providing essential information, training tools, and resources, the AICPA aids in improving CPA skills, knowledge, and client success. ESP is proud to be a member of the largest worldwide organization representing the accounting profession.

PCPS (Section of AICPA)

ESP is a member of the AICPA Private Companies Practice Section. The PCPS provides a wide range of valuable information and resources for firms of all sizes in area of practice management. It provides us with up-to-date information regarding changes in tax, accounting, and auditing standards, which in turn allows us to stand by our commitment in delivering the highest level of service possible to our clients.

In 2012, Erin Sacco Pineda also committed time to the Emerging Partner Training Forum series offered by the AICPA Private Companies Practice Section. This forum gives firm leaders access to nationally recognized practice consultants. Through this continued connection, Erin is able to exchange experiences and ideas with practices across the country.

CalCPA

With over 40,000 members statewide, the California Society for Certified Public Accountants serves as an advocate for members on issues that affect the accounting profession. CalCPA enhances and supports the education of CPA’s in professional and personal development.

CalCPA is made up of fourteen chapters. Erin Sacco Pineda serves as Director on Board for the San Diego Chapter, as well as the Chair of the Nonprofit Interest Group San Diego Chapter.

Erin Sacco Pineda is also a graduate of the CalCPA Emerging Leaders Certificate Program, which provides a forum that aids in the development of critical leadership skills with a network of peers. It also permits the opportunity of gaining exposure to local leaders in the accounting profession.

NP Management Solutions

Since 1984, Nonprofit Management Solutions has been providing individuals in nonprofit organizations management assistance throughout Southern California. They offer organizations a wide range of support in consulting, training, board and staff leadership development, as well as coaching and mentoring.

Erin developed and taught courses in Financial Management for the NPMS workshop series. Our continued affiliation with Nonprofit Management Solutions allows us to further understand and embrace our client’s needs with confidence and excellence.

Nonprofit Leadership Certificate Program at USD

Offered by the University of San Diego, the Nonprofit Leadership Certificate program thoroughly examines the professional training and development needed to support NP organizations’ sustainability and growth. This eight-course program is designed to build and establish essential skills in NP management.

Since Fall semester 2013, Erin has taught the Financial Management course for the program, and is currently working on developing an online version of the course.
